When conditions and experience allow, riding in a suitable outdoor area can provide a refreshing change from arena practice. Riders should always choose appropriate locations and follow local riding guidelines.
Set Small Goals
Small goals can make practice feel more rewarding. A rider might focus on improving posture during one session and steering during another. Reaching these smaller goals can provide a sense of progress.
Enjoy Time With the Horse
Horse riding is also about building a comfortable relationship with the animal. Spending calm time together can help riders become more familiar with the horse’s personality and behavior.
Making practice enjoyable can encourage riders to stay consistent with their training. By adding variety, setting simple goals, and spending quality time with horses, riders can continue developing their skills while enjoying the experience.
